Position Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to provide instructional support for our students to help them meet established learning objectives and personal learning goals.  This is done by providing constructive, focused feedback on subjective exams, as well as answering student questions via email and phone for programs that fall under the Travel and Tourism vertical.  These include, but are not limited to Travel and Tourism Specialist, Restaurant Management, and Guest Services Agent.

This is an independent contractor position that is fully remote with flexible hours.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Objectively and accurately evaluate subjective exams against established grading keys and rubrics by providing effective, and constructive feedback to students that helps them see what needs improvement, as well as what was done well
  • Complete necessary steps to ensure that exam feedback is uploaded for students and grades are properly recorded
  • Answer student questions via email
  • Answer student questions via phone (through scheduled appointments only)
  • Participate in special grading projects as needed
  • Grade assignments within five days of submission
  • Respond to internal emails within 24 hours during the week and within 48 hours on the weekend
  • Participate in accreditation activities as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • An associate degree in business or related field required
    • A bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred
  • Must have certification as a travel agent
  • Teaching or tutoring experience
    • Online experience is preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills, including the ability to troubleshoot minor technical issues to ensure student work can be graded in a timely manner
  • Access to high-speed Internet
  • Access to a personal computer (PC or MAC)
  • Ability to work independently, think critically, and communicate effectively and efficiently
